Magnolia Point is a gated residential community nestled in the beautiful Live Oak forests of northeast Florida off U-S Highway 17 south of Jacksonville. An active clubhouse with fine dining, recreational activities and other amenities make it easy to stay close to home. The community enjoys a very active Magnolia Point Women’s Club which creates a true feeling of family. Click on photo on left to watch a video of the community.
Residents, both retired and working families alike, enjoy a quiet, gracious lifestyle in a country like setting while enjoying the amenities of nearby metropolitan Jacksonville. Winding residential roads meander through the community’s centerpiece, a signature Mark McCumber designed 27-hole championship golf course, Magnolia Point Golf and Country Club. The new owners of the golf club
and clubhouse just finished the first phase of renovations to the foyer and dining room and recovered all the dinning room chairs. The club also has a new chef and everyone seems quite pleased.
The course has a wonderful mix of challenges and breaks. There are tight fairways, long and short par-4s, an excellent variety of par-3 holes, and a few ‘grip-and-rip holes’ that let you swing away. There are no unfair holes at Magnolia Point which makes the course really fun to play. Magnolia Point Golf and Country Club is part of a 1,000 acre plus community. Although it is located in a development area, it is easy to forget you are playing in a residential neighborhood as very few homes were visible from the fairways.
After a great day of golf make your way down to the 28th hole for a cocktail, cold beer, glass of wine or simply a glass of refreshing ice tea. A great bar menu is available and a happy crowd is always ready to greet you.
